Do I need design experience to use Fontjohn?
Not at all. Describe a style or upload a reference and Fontjohn handles the technical details. Designers get full control in the editor when they want it.
What do I get with each plan?
The free plan lets you create, refine and type-test one font a month; downloading starts with Pro. Pro and Studio both export .otf, .ttf, web and color fonts, and add weights from Light to Black and Latin expansion for accented letters. Studio gives you more fonts, character regens and Latin expansions each month.
Which characters are included?
Every font includes A–Z, a–z, 0–9 and 23 punctuation marks, 85 glyphs in all. On Pro and Studio you can expand a finished font with accented letters for most European languages plus extra symbols. Other scripts are on the roadmap.
What if the generated font isn’t quite right?
Refine it. Adjust simplify, corner sharpness and snap-to-grid per glyph, or edit anchors directly. To redraw a single character, click its cell for a set of style-matched variants.
Can I use my fonts for commercial projects?
Yes. Every font you download on a paid plan is yours to use commercially: client work, products you sell, brand identities. No per-impression licensing, no watermark.
Can I cancel or change my plan anytime?
Yes. Cancel, upgrade or downgrade from the billing portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of your billing period, and you keep access until then.
Do other people get the same font as me?
No. Each font is generated from your prompt and reference, and every run draws different glyphs, so no two fonts are identical.
What counts as one font versus one regen?
Generating the full 85-character sheet counts as one font. Regenerating a single character counts as one regen. Each plan tracks the two separately, and unused regens roll over to next month, up to twice your monthly regens, while you stay subscribed.
